Leona Máslová

Head of Teacher Training Centre
CELTA / ICELT Course Director & DELTA Tutor
I have been involved in teaching and teacher training since 1990, in Hungary, Russia, South Africa and the Czech Republic. At AKCENT IH Prague I work on CELTA, DELTA  and TKT courses. In my free time I like travelling, reading and going to my favourite yoga class. And I won't say no to a nice shopping spree either ;-)

Dana Hánková

DELTA Course Director & CELTA Tutor
I graduated in Pedagogy from Charles University, Prague, and have taught both children and adults - mainly the latter in recent years. Teacher training now takes up an increasing amount of my time, particularly training on DELTA courses. My other interests include outdoor sports activities, reading and my two children.

Andy Lewis

CELTA
I have been working in EFL since 1996, in both the Czech Republic and the UK, where I taught business English. At AKCENT International House Prague I work as a teacher as well as a CELTA trainer. When not working I enjoy watching sport, especially football, reading and films.

Cathy Bowden

CELTA, IH BET1
I’ve been teaching EFL since 1996 in Lithuania, and The Czech Republic. I’ve been at AKCENT International House Prague since September 2000. I teach General and Business English and I’m involved in the management of the school, with responsibility for teaching in company courses. I train teachers on the International House courses for teaching English for business (IH BET1) and teaching one-to-one, as well as CELTA. Out of school, I enjoy playing cards, socialising, reading, quizzes and walking (as long as the weather’s just right and there aren’t too many hills!).

Lesley Brooks

CELTA
I have been teaching and teacher training since 1996. I´ve worked in Hungary, Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa and Tunisia. I´m very new to Prague so most of my free time is spent exploring this exciting city. I love reading and travelling, even though most of it is work-related!

Jim Chapman

CELTA, DELTA
I have taught EFL in Sudan, Kuwait and the UK. I moved to Prague in 1991 and have lived here ever since, teaching and teacher training. I am a Joint Chief Assessor for CELTA, a DELTA assessor, and I train on CELTA and DELTA courses; in addition to AKCENT IH Prague DELTA courses, I’m also a distance tutor for the Distance DELTA. My other interests include expanding my wine collection and entertaining our cats.

Alžběta Černušková

CELTA
I have taught English since 1993 - mostly adults. I received Trinity Licentiate Diploma in ELT in 1998. I work in Brno and I have been involved in school management and teacher development there. In my free time I like mountains, music, going to the cinema or sometimes just staying in and reading.

Shaun Wilden

CELTA, ICELT, DELTA
I have been an EFL teacher since 1991 and at AKCENT International House Prague since 1996, where I am a teacher and teacher trainer on the CELTA, ICELT, DELTA and YL courses. Away from the school, my interests are watching football (both the European and American varieties), actually make that watching any sport, cooking and playing bridge.

Naomi Moir

CELTA
I have been teaching EFL to adults and young learners at AKCENT International House Prague since 1997. Along with being a member of the school's management team I am involved in teacher training, both as a CELTA trainer and as the main course tutor on the International House Certificate in Teaching Young Learners (IHCYL). My interests include spending time with friends and walking.

Eleanor Lurring

DELTA
I have worked in EFL for many years, in Spain, the UK and now in the Czech Republic. My main areas of interest are teaching Business English and teacher training. I am employed by the British Council, and work as a guest tutor for AKCENT International House Prague on their DELTA courses. Apart from having fun with my young daughter, my other interests include cycling and oriental dance.
